Leva Reka Shelter, also known as Pomochena Polyana Shelter, lies in eastern Rila in the Pomochena Polyana area west of Belmeken Reservoir.
It serves a much less frequently visited part of the mountain and may provide important emergency refuge on longer routes in the area.
Access
FROM KOSTENETS: One traditional approach begins from the Kostenets resort area.
FROM GURGULITSA HUT: A mountain route reaches the shelter in approximately 3 hours.
TOWARD BELMEKEN: Routes continue toward Belmeken Reservoir and the high terrain around Belmeken Peak.
PISANIYAT KAMAK: The small Pisaniyat Kamak Shelter lies relatively close on the route toward the reservoir.
