Why BGMountainGuide exists
The project started with a simple idea: information about Bulgaria’s mountains should be easier to find, easier to understand and more useful when planning a real trip.
Instead of searching through many different sources, BGMountainGuide aims to organize the most useful information around routes, places and navigation in one consistent experience.
What we are building
The guide currently focuses on Rila, Pirin and Stara Planina, with mountain routes, lakes and shelters. The long-term goal is to expand carefully with more useful places and categories without turning the product into a cluttered directory.
Our approach
We prefer clear information, practical navigation and a calm interface. Safety-related information should remain accessible and should not be hidden behind a subscription.
BGMountainGuide is an independent project and will continue to develop as its information, maps and application features grow.
