About this place
Kornishki Lakes Shelter lies in the Kornishki cirque in the less frequently visited southeastern part of Pirin.
It is a small mountain shelter providing refuge in the remote area between Breznitsa, the Kornishki cirque and the high Debeli Rid ridge.
Access
The main approach starts from the village of Breznitsa and is a long mountain hike.
This part of Pirin is less visited and some trails are less obvious than on the main routes of northern Pirin.
Use current markings and BGMountains and allow a generous time reserve.
Important
The shelter is unstaffed, so do not rely on food, personnel or guaranteed supplies.
Check the route and weather carefully because of the remote location.
