Koncheto Shelter stands beside the main karst ridge of northern Pirin, southeast of Bayuvi Dupki Peak.
It is one of Bulgaria's highest and most recognisable emergency mountain shelters.
Access
The most common approaches are from Yavorov Hut and from the Vihren and Banderitsa hut area.
The shelter lies on the high E4 route.
Access involves exposed karst terrain.
Important
The shelter is intended primarily for emergency or short stays, not as planned comfortable accommodation.
There is no water at the shelter.
Koncheto and the surrounding ridge can become extremely dangerous in strong wind, ice, snow, thunderstorms or poor visibility.
