Mihaylov Shelter is a small but important emergency refuge on the southern winter route between the Panitsite area, Paradzhika and Botev Peak.
It was built as an intermediate refuge along the long high-mountain approach toward Botev Peak.
In 2022, the shelter underwent major renovation together with Marinka and Bunkera shelters.
Access
It is located on the Panitsite – Paradzhika – Marinka Shelter – Botev Peak route.
It can be used as an intermediate emergency refuge between Bunkera Shelter and Marinka Shelter.
Important
The shelter is intended primarily for emergency use.
Do not rely on a permanent supply of firewood, food or water.
In winter, the route toward Botev Peak requires serious preparation and assessment of current conditions.
