About this place
Golyam Kademlia Shelter is located directly on Golyam Kademlia Peak – the highest point of the Triglav massif.
It was built as a high-mountain refuge and is maintained with the support of Sarnena Gora Tourist Association.
Due to its remote location, it is an important emergency refuge between the Mazalat, Tazha, Triglav and Sokolna areas.
Access
From Mazalat Hut – approximately 3:00 h.
From Tazha Hut – approximately 4:00 h.
From Triglav Hut – approximately 3:00 h via an unmarked route.
From Sokolna Hut – approximately 4:30–5:00 h.
Important
There is no reliable permanent water source directly at the summit.
Do not rely on fuel or other supplies always being available.
The area is highly exposed, and navigation can become seriously difficult in fog, storms or winter conditions.
