Ambaritsa Shelter is a small metal refuge located directly on the main ridge near Levski Peak, better known as Ambaritsa.
It is intended as an emergency shelter for a very small number of people when conditions deteriorate unexpectedly.
The shelter was renovated by volunteers in 2019, with additional maintenance carried out in subsequent years.
Access
The shelter is located directly on the main ridge along the E3 Kom–Emine route.
It can be reached from Dobrila Hut via Levski / Ambaritsa Peak.
It can also be reached from Ambaritsa Hut via the steep northern approach to the summit.
Important
This is not a mountain hut and is not intended for a comfortable planned overnight stay.
Its capacity is very limited.
There is no reliable water source at the summit.
The location is extremely exposed to strong winds, thunderstorms, fog and winter icing.
